Stop by The Gallery to see Derick Larson and Marc Mitchell’s Collaborative Exhibit Image of a Rind or a Curtain Behind. These two artists chose themes such as ‘figuration, digital patterns, and outdated avant-garde abstraction’ to create parallel works for their seventh joint exhibition.

Blake Conroy’s Abstract Nature explores the ‘fragility of nature, our influence on it, and our human ancestry’ through his intricate paper murals created by laser cutting shapes and patterns into paper or metal. “My subject matter is the minutiae of my environment… It is my intent is to have my viewers see their surroundings in a new way.”

Experimental philosopher and conceptual artist Jonathon Keats’ The Reciprocal Biomimicry Initiative creatively reverses biomimicry’s direction to imagine how human technology could benefit other organisms in the natural world. His eight fanciful innovations include wind farms to supplement photosynthesis for forests lacking sufficient sunlight, and escorting migratory flocks with climate-sensing drones directing their flight paths to new breeding grounds created by climate change.
